This is some videos of what i would have in a special effects make up kit. I figured it was easier to post videos people have done with lists than rather post each item individually as i would probably have quite a few items.

About Waterloo Road

Waterloo Road is a fictional school set in Rochdale. The drama has mass appeal to a wide ranging audience and, although the drama features good and bad teachers and pupils, at its heart is a message that a few good teachers in one school can succeed in achieving the near-impossible.

Originally commissioned in 2005 for eight episodes, Waterloo Road has grown over the years and is now enjoying a fifth series. In total, 80 hours have been produced - a testament to its popularity with viewers, which peaked at 6m in March 2008. The show has featured actors such as Angela Griffin, Jason Merrells, Jill Halfpenny, Eva Pope and Neil Morrissey.

Youtube = heaven

These are videos that i have watched and have found interesting or useful.  I find that youtube is so helpful whether you want information or just research. There is so much makeup related stuff on it that it is like a mini heaven.  there is so many tutorials or even just vlogs about what you need and loads and loads of behind the scenes videos ranging from little companies to well known companies and makeup artists. It can be useful for experienced or beginners. So type in what you want to learn or know and watch.

                                                             Black swan
Im not sure what this is but i love it.
                                                               Broken Poerclain Doll
                                                                Candy Skull

Whats on!

So here is what is on in theatres the now that i would like to go see.

American Idiot. This i really want to go see it looks amazing. Direct from Broadway, the smash-hit musical American Idiot tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Their quest for true meaning in a post 9/11 world leads them on the most exhilarating theatrical journey of the season. Featuring the music of Green Day and the lyrics of its lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, American Idiot boldly takes the American musical where it’s never gone before.

The sound of music is back on stage aswell. Pantheon return with one of the world’s best-loved musicals, telling the heart-warming story of the von Trapp family and their escape from Nazi occupied Austria. With its unforgettable score, The Sound of Music touches the hearts of all ages and brims over with some of the most memorable songs ever produced for the stage, including My Favourite Things, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, The Lonely Goatherd, Sixteen Going on Seventeen, and of course the glorious title song, The Sound of Music.

I have never ever been to a theatre to see anything in my life and I would really like to go one day.

sfx and wigs in films

5 Films with makeup i love

1. Avatar  - the make up for this film was phenonomal.  It was so good and very sci fi.  The effects used were just amazing.  It looked so realistic.  I love how it is quite simple and you are able to do it at home just using facepaints.  It looks so complicated but in fact is is quite simple.

2.  Mirror Mirror - The make-up in this film is so simple but still seems so dramatic .  It looks just right for a fairytale film. So simple yet so perfect. The bright red lips are just amazing and the snow white skin.  It stands out so well.

3. Edward ScissorHands - The makeup suits the character. It is perfectly applied and is very scifi.  I just love it.  This was one of the first films i had seen knowing that they use sfx makeup and this is what got me interested in sfx.

4. Pirates of the carribean - This film has sfx used and simple makeup but the makeup has to suit different stages in the film.  I really like johnny depps makeup the best in this movie, he just looks so different. The have to change the makeup for when people fall in the water so they need to make it look like their makeup is running and all sorts.

5.Black Swan - I love black swan the makeup is literally just amazing.  It is so realistic and just plain stunning. It is also so easy to do at home by yourself aswell as long as you have the right products.

3 Films i love that uses wigs

1. Hermione Grange from harry potter had to wear a wig in the final movie to reshoot some scenes as she had her haircut into a pixie cut, then because her hair was so short she had to wear a wig.

2. Frank from shameless wears a wig and i never even knew till someone told me, it is so convincing.

3. And finally from above edward scissor hands. This movie was the first movie i seen that done sfx and where i knew wigs were used.
