NASMAH is the uk association for proffesional make-up artists and hairdressers who work in film, television theatre fashion and photography. NASMAH was formed  to maintain the high standards of artistry achieved in previous years and to promote the profile of hair and make-up professionals in the industry.  NASMAH is a non-profit organisation and is funded by member subscriptions and sponsorships. Walter Schneiderman (he made the company), celebrated make-up artist to Hollywood stars such as Bette Davis, Barbra Streisand, Ingrid Bergman, Sophia Loren, Clark Gable, Kirk Douglas and Denzel Washington, has worked worldwide with leading directors and cinematographers on some of the greatest films made, achieving international recognition for his work.

This incredible wealth of experience led Walter to set up his company, MAKE-UP INTERNATIONAL, over 25 years ago, developing and supplying cosmetics to meet the ever exacting standards of the professional media industries.

Walter's daughter, Beryl Lerman, now heads up the company. Trained by Walter, she has her own list of remarkable credits from a 20 year career, including as a BAFTA judge and a member of the Oscar winning team for Brave Heart. Having initially studied fine art and then film make-up, she makes her own unique contribution to the company and has worked with leading artists including Julie Andrews, Donald Sutherland, Roger Moore and Rupert Everett.

Today, MAKE-UP INTERNATIONAL holds a unique position in the history of make-up and continually strives to provide professionals with an inspiring range of products that meet the high demands of the industry, and that have become synonymous with quality.
